Would you like to quickly change the style of a square frame’s corners? InDesign’s Live Corner Editing is a handy feature lets you do just that, without having to go through the extra step of opening up the Corner Options dialog.
Use Live Corner Editing
1. Select View>Extras>Show Live Corners.
2. Select a rectangular frame with the Selection tool. A yellow square will appear on the upper right side of the frame edge.
3. Click the yellow square to enter Live Corner Editing mode. You’ll see yellow diamonds at each corner.
4. Drag any of the yellow diamonds to change the frame’s corner effect. Dragging away from the corner reduces the size, while dragging toward the frame center increases the size.
5. Hold the Shift key while dragging to change the radius of a single corner. OPT-click (ALT-click on a PC) on a yellow diamond to toggle among the available corner shapes.
When you’re done editing the corner, click away from the frame to exit Live Corner Editing mode, and the yellow squares will disappear.
Now that you know about this easy-to-use feature, you can change your corner options on the fly, right on the layout page!
