- According to McPheters & Co.’s “The State of the App” report, only 8% of tracked publishing-related apps have moved over to Apple’s Newsstand, while publications “heavily promoted on the Newsstand have reported sales 2.5 to 10 times higher than previous levels.” The fewer the publications available in Newsstand, the less competition there is—and early adopters are definitely seeing the payoff. - Who says you can’t do a little work-related shopping this Black Friday? Take advantage of this special limited offer from Adobe and save 10% on full versions of Adobe CS5.5. Hurry—the offer ends Nov. 29.
- In digital media news, the 2011 Mashable Award finalists were announced on Tuesday. As digital and social media continue to become a more important part of the marketing mix, publishers can benefit from reviewing the list of finalists, and their winning campaigns, to draw inspiration and insight.
- Adobe TV put together a great video tutorial on how to create scrolling content in your digital publication with InDesign CS5.5. Check it out below.
