Have you ever needed just a bit more viewing area when working on a layout? Here’s an easy way to get it.

Hide Panels While Working

To temporarily hide all panels on the InDesign workspace and increase the viewing area, select the Tab key while nothing else is selected on the page. Reselect Tab to bring the panels back again.

Here’s what a difference this can make:

In addition, selecting ShiftTab hides all panels but the Control panel and the toolbar. Reselect Shift-Tab to bring the panels back. Again, remember to deselect all items on a page (Shift-CMD-A) prior to selecting Shift-Tab.

Try getting rid of the clutter, and give yourself a clearer view of your layout while you’re working!
