- Rumors are circulating about a possible March release of a lighter, thinner version of the iPad and a Retina version of the iPad Mini. This speculation comes amid reports that Apple has cut orders for iPhone 5 components due to waning demand for the device.
- Huffington Post contributor Garrett Goodman gets technical in a blog post titled Responsive vs. Adaptive Design: Which Is Best for Publishers? In it, he describes the similarities and differences between the two approaches and explains what each has to offer.
- According to The Next Web, “Responsive design is becoming so ubiquitous among publishers [because] it looks good everywhere.” As evidence, it offers its selection of 29 new inspiring responsive designs on the web—a list that includes publications like Contents and its own TNW Magazine.
- Yet another design-focused blog post this past week discussed the approach publishers should take in order to provide the best possible mobile news-reading experience for smartphone and tablet users alike, given that content is typically consumed differently on such devices. One of the recommended strategies? You guessed it: responsive design.
- Visit TFP’s InDesign Tips blog to learn how to down-save an InDesign document when you need to share it with someone who’s using an older version of the software.
