Within the past few weeks, there have been some masthead changes involving high-profile women who are making their mark in the media and publishing industries. Here are some highlights:
- Peggy Northrop is replacing Kitty Morgan as Editor in Chief of Sunset magazine. Northrop was formerly EIC of Reader’s Digest and More. Morgan was at Sunset for just over a year.
- Lauren Iannotti has joined the staff of Brides magazine as Executive Editor. She had been serving as Deputy Editor at Glamour.
- Jo Piazza is now Executive News Director of In Touch Weekly and Life & Style magazines. She was previously Senior Digital Editor at Current TV.
- Amy Rushlow is the new Online Managing Editor at Prevention magazine. She was previously Online Senior Editor at Men’s Health.
- Stella Araya-Weil has been hired as Senior Vice President and Publisher of Parade magazine. She was most recently Associate Publisher at Essence.
- Deanne Hess Kaczerski is Marie Claire‘s new Web Director. She comes to the magazine from Elle.com and RealBeauty.com, where she held the same role.
