  • Forbes magazine coverForbes‘ latest list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women includes more than a dozen media leaders, among them New York Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson (No. 19), Condé Nast Artistic Director and Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour (No. 41), and Huffington Post founder and EIC Arianna Huffington (No. 56).   • Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg (No. 6 on Forbes‘ list) has brought her Leanin.org women’s leadership community to Tumblr, where women are invited to respond to the question, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” You can add your two cents by filling out a submission form on the Lean In Tumblr site.
  • Arianna Huffington delivered the commencement address at Smith College, urging graduates of the women’s college to “lead the third women’s revolution.” You can read a transcript of the speech or watch it in its entirety on Boston.com.
  • In hiring news, Jayne Jamison has been promoted to Vice President, Publishing Director, of Seventeen and RedbookCarissa Rosenberg Tozzi has been promoted to Entertainment and Special Projects Director at Seventeen; and Deirdre Daly-Markowski has been hired as Self magazine’s first Interactive Digital Director.
