Here’s our roundup of some of the latest announcements highlighting women’s roles in the evolving media landscape:
- Claudia de Almeida has been promoted to the role of Design Director at Wired, where she had been serving as Deputy Design Director. She joined the magazine from Martha Stewart Living earlier this year and oversaw Wired‘s latest redesign, which debuted with the June issue.
- Sarah Leen is the new Director of Photography for the print and digital editions of National Geographic magazine. Her previous roles at the magazine include Senior Editor for Visual Story Development and Senior Photo Editor. She contributed to the magazine as a freelance photographer for almost 20 years before joining the staff in 2004.
- Breda O’Reilly has been hired by The New Yorker to serve as its Advertising Director. Her most recent role was Director of Sales for The Guardian; prior to that, she was Advertising Director at The Atlantic.

Lee Cordobés has been promoted to the position of Associate Publisher for Cooking Light and CookingLight.com. Prior to joining the publication, she was Franchise Sales Director for Health magazine and Health.com.
- Jennifer Levesque has been name Editorial Director of Trade Books for Rodale’s trade books division. She was previously Editorial Director at Abrams.
