Rodale is the publisher of some of the best-known health and wellness lifestyle magazines, including Prevention, Runner’s World, and Men’s Health. So when it felt it was the right time to pursue a magazine best-practices workflow initiative, selecting a partner to implement the project was a key first step.
The organization had previously worked with Technology for Publishing on several content strategy, structure, process optimization, digital asset management, and publishing automation projects, so it was confident that TFP was again the right partner to help deliver what would be its biggest publishing initiative yet.
Rodale’s goal was to be able to centrally manage all associated files, to effectively collaborate on content creation, and to automate and streamline production processes so that content could be reused. The phased approach TFP took with Rodale to determine its overall requirements and to gather feedback and buy-in from all levels of the organization, along with the involvement of end users in the selection and implementation process, ultimately resulted in huge returns on its effort.
