Welcome to TFP’s latest roundup of hiring news highlighting women’s roles in the evolving media landscape. Get caught up on what’s been happening over the past couple of weeks:

  • Nilou Motamed is the new Editor in Chief of Condé Nast Digital’s Epicurious.com. She comes to the food and recipe website from Time Inc.’s Travel + Leisure, where she served as Features Director and Senior Correspondent.
  • Vivian Schiller will leave her role as Chief Digital Officer of NBC News at the end of this year to join Twitter as Head of News Partnerships. Schiller’s previous roles include President and CEO of NPR, and Senior VP and General Manager The New York Times website.

  • National Journal announced three promotions this week. Managing Editor for the Budget and Economy Kristin Roberts has moved into the role of Managing Editor across the publication, Digital Executive Editor Alissa Swango is now Director of Digital News Operations, and Digital Social Media Editor Sarah Micheli has moved up to Director of Digital Engagement.
  • Karen Dunlap announced that she will retire from her role as President of The Poynter Institute in January. Dunlap has headed the nonprofit journalism school for the past 10 years. She was the organization’s Dean for 10 years before becoming its president.
  • Fashionista announced that it has hired two Editors in Chief. Lauren Indvik joins the fashion news site from Mashable, where she was Associate Business Editor. Stephanie Trong was previously Executive Editor at Jane and Nylon, and was Lucky‘s Deputy Editor.
  • Amy Churgin has been hired as Publisher of Meredith’s Traditional Home magazine. Churgin was previously a Senior Vice President at Condé Nast, and Vice President/Publisher of Architectural Digest. She has also served as a Docent at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
  • Daphne Durham has been promoted to Publisher of the adult trade and children’s businesses at Amazon Publishing. She has been Editor in Chief of adult trade publishing at Amazon since November 2012.
  • Annette Gallo has been named Associate Publisher/Marketing at Entertainment Weekly. She was previously Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Partnerships at PopSugar.com, and has held roles at AOL and Condé Nast.
  • Shelagh Daly Miller has been promoted from Vice President of Advertising to Group Publisher at AARP Media.
  • Hayley Romer has been promoted from Associate Publisher to Vice President and Publisher at The Atlantic. Prior to joining the magazine last year, she was Executive Director of Corporate Sales at Condé Nast Media Group.
  • Katia Kuethe is the new Creative Director at Lucky magazine. Her most recent post was as Senior Director of Creative at Kate Spade. She has also served as Creative Director at Teen Vogue.
  • Andria Vidler has been tapped to serve as CEO of Centaur Media, publisher of Creative Review, Marketing Week, and The Lawyer. She was previously CEO of EMI Music UK & Ireland, and was Chief Marketing Officer at Bauer Media.
  • Sylvia Strobel is on board as Interim CEO at the Alliance for Women in Media. She is also Vice President at association management firm Coulter and a Senior Partner at entertainment law firm Lehmann Strobel PLC. Strobel was previously Executive Director for the Alliance of Community Media.
  • Jessie Price was promoted to Editor in Chief of of Meredith’s EatingWell magazine last month. She has held various roles at EatingWell since 2003, most recently serving as its Deputy Editor of Food.
  • Following the relaunch of Domino magazine earlier this month, Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer Beth Brenner spoke with Samir Husni about the promise of print and the state of the magazine industry, and Editor in Chief Michelle Adams shared her perspective on e-commerce, print, and Condé Nast with Adweek.
