- Flipboard might have its sights set on boosting its user count from 100 million to 150 million this year, but Facebook has plans of its own. According to Re/code, the social media site could launch its own Flipboard-like news-reading service, currently known as “Paper,” by the end of this month.
- This week, an appeals court struck down the FCC’s rules on net neutrality, which were intended to prevent ISPs from slowing or blocking the transmission of data at their own discretion. Gigaom has an overview of what the court’s decision means for digital content providers that’s worth checking out.
- If you’re among those of us whose first experience using publishing software was with QuarkXPress, you might appreciate this Ars Technica article that takes a look at where the company is now and what it did to lose its 95% market share of the early ’90s—after Adobe’s InDesign came on the market.
