- Adobe announced the integration of its Adobe Digital Publishing Suite and its web experience management product, Adobe Experience Manager. Together, DPS and AEM can help improve workflow efficiencies for cross-channel digital publishing and, along with Adobe Analytics, help publishers manage their app and web content strategies.
- Barnes & Noble’s third-quarter financials revealed a 50% decline in Nook revenues compared with the same period last year, and the company indicated that there will be more layoffs in addition to the 190 jobs cut in Q3. Nevertheless, the bookseller said it’s planning to release a new color version of the tablet later this year.
- Ahead of the World Wide Web’s 25th anniversary on March 12, the Pew Research Center has released the results of a national survey on the web’s impact on Americans’ lives and relationships. Eight more reports on emerging trends in digital technology will follow throughout the year, so stay tuned.
- According to an analysis of recent newspaper audience reports for 150 large markets, 55% of newspaper readers still read the local news only in print, while about 30% consume both print and digital news, and 15% read it digital-only.
