If you’re creating an Adobe Digital Publishing Suite app (iPad only) with folios that contain sections, such as a newspaper, you can set it up so that users can choose to download only their favorite sections. This is a great way to let readers start using your DPS app quickly, without having to wait for the entire folio to download, and it also saves storage space on their devices.
Section information is specified for articles in the Folio Producer Editor. Then, instead of a Download or Buy button, a View button appears in the iPad viewer library. When it is tapped, the sections available in that issue are displayed. The section cover image is the first page of the first article in each section.
When a user taps the image, all of the articles in that section are downloaded. Any article that has not been specified in a section, like the cover or table of contents, will be downloaded along with the first section selected.
For more information on adding sections to your folios, see Adobe’s Create Sections page.
