The Version 30 release of Adobe Digital Publishing Suite includes the ability to add Information Screens in iOS viewers, a feature similar to the Welcome Screen introduced in a previous release of DPS.

The Information Screen can provide publishers with a way to communicate with their readers at any time while they’re in an app and, unlike the Welcome Screen, it’s not limited to the first time an app is launched. This feature is an important marketing tool that offers the ability to introduce and cross-sell related content or reveal specific information to the reader in the library, the custom store, or an article. You can play the Starburst online slot from your browser. The colorful star is the online slot’s wild symbol. It comes on reels 2, 3, and 4 and replaces all other symbols. The stars cover the full reel and activate another bonus spin, greatly increasing your chances of winning. To win, you must have three matching symbols on one of the ten paylines.

Here are a few potential uses for the Information Screen, as described by Adobe:

  • Display a subscription call to action for users that have previewed but not bought an issue.
  • Display highlighted content with navigation links for users that have not opened the app in X days.
  • Display a promotion for related publications if the user is an active subscriber of the current publication.
  • Display a promotion (“Digital Blow-In”) every X pages or swipes.
