Just as with any of our publishing clients, at Technology for Publishing we also need to continually evaluate who we are as a company, who our audience is, and where we need to go to best serve our clients. Our overall new look, new site, and new content is reflective of that. Stop in and have a look.
We try to practice what we preach when it comes to content. Where do we need to go strategically to be prepared for what’s next, and how do we need to shift tactically to best support our strategic vision and the requirements of our clients? These are obviously important questions necessary to stay on track.
So, a few thoughts for 2015.
It’s time for some innovative risks.
Over the past year, we’ve seen an increasing need for publishers to innovate at levels they’ve never had to before, and a need for them to significantly re-evaluate and reinvent their processes and approach to content.
This is a year to risk, innovate, and invigorate.
Business intelligence needs to reach new levels.
If you haven’t made business intelligence as it relates to your content a priority, I would argue it’s time. I’ll share more about this in future blogs, because it’s key and core to the future of content for any publisher. And it’s more than just analytics as we know it. Business intelligence is the beating heart that needs to drive how we create content.
Fracturing content creation by platform doesn’t work in the new content world.
As we know, each platform has strengths in terms of how stories are delivered and consumed, and generate interest across other platforms. Innovating smart processes, workgroup dynamics, and supporting technologies to streamline this helps to open doors to new thinking about content.
Our biggest challenges are how to set and agree on a vision for approaching content in new ways, and how we can innovate to change how we work and think on a daily basis to achieve that vision.
That’s what we at TFP hope to help you with this year. Stay tuned for detailed direction on these topics and more. Happy New Year!
