According to our infographic pick, designed by Carlos Monteiro and posted on Adweek, nearly two-thirds of marketers surveyed by the Association of National Advertisers plan to spend more on native advertising this year, with research firm Statista projecting that those budgets will reach $4.3 billion this year and increase to $8.8 billion in 2018. However, it also points out that while growing, native advertising still stands at only about 5% of total spending, as concerns persist around transparency, relevancy, and how to measure effectiveness.

From who’s buying native and where ad dollars are being spent to measurement metrics, barriers, industry benchmarks, and more, this week’s post provides a broad picture of where native advertising is at today and where it’s likely going.
