Adobe Experience Manager Mobile Version 2016.11, released Sept. 7, includes new and improved features, and several bug fixes.
Features
Hide Project
To decrease the number of projects listed in the On-Demand Portal, a new Hide Project feature has been added. Project administrators can choose a project(s) and click the Hide/Show Project icon. These projects will be hidden from users by default and can be displayed by selecting the Hide/Show Project icon again. Features for the hidden project, like publishing and entitlement, continue to be active. Hidden projects can also be found and listed using filters as seen below.
Desktop Web Viewer Enhancements
Extensibility APIs previously available in iOS and Android viewers are now supported in the Desktop Web Viewer. An example of this is the ability to obtain the page number of a specific location within an article and app-specific information such as a list of entity children for a collection.
Android Viewer Enhancements
Navto links with percentages for navigating within smooth scrolling articles are now supported in Android apps. For example, a navto://articlename50% link jumps to the halfway point of an article. This feature is now supported in all platforms.
Authoring API Updates
Authoring APIs now include improved support for sending push notifications and hiding projects. They also enable customers to set up an automated workflow for creating and editing projects and content.
Additional Enhancements
- Windows apps now support the API to obtain the page number at a specific location within an article.
- An updated version of the Acrobat add-on for creating PDF-based articles is now available.
Bug Fixes
This release also includes numerous viewer and service bug fixes. Adobe highlighted a major fix for a bug in which phone layouts were erroneously displaying on Android tablets. For the complete list, see Adobe’s Bug Fix Release Notes page.
